To walk down the majestic plane-tree avenue of the Domaine de Camboyer is to embark on a journey through time. Located at the crossroads of Aude and Haute-Garonne, this character property has embodied the Occitan art of living for over three centuries. Here, the stones hold memories. They tell the story of the “Grand Siècle,” of the Canal du Midi, and of a thriving natural environment that we preserve today with passion.

The soul of a family home
The spirit of the place is closely tied to the epic story of the Canal du Midi. Legend has it that this historic estate in Occitanie was gifted to the De Reynes family in gratitude for their contribution to Pierre-Paul Riquet’s work. As you enter the Grand Salon, look up at the monumental fireplace: you will see the carved “tree frogs,” guardians of these walls for 300 years.
The Park & Biodiversity
The true luxury here is space. Designated as a Sensitive Natural Area (ENS), our 8-hectare park is a living mosaic of forests and meadows. Recognised as an LPO Refuge by the French League for the Protection of Birds, it is a sanctuary where you may spot the flight of the common kestrel or hear the song of the European goldfinch. Stroll through our arboretum and breathe: you are at the heart of nature.
The Pool
In the heart of the park, discover our generously sized swimming pool (20×5 metres), ideal for doing laps or simply cooling off. It is bordered by a vast 900 m² terrace, a true natural solarium. Between the exotic wooden decking and the dry-stone walls, settle comfortably on a sun lounger for a moment of pure relaxation under the Occitan sun.
Bike Hire
In the mood for exploration? We are accredited with the “Accueil Vélo” label to guarantee a hassle-free experience. No need to transport your equipment: hire our bikes (electric or classic) directly on site. Reach the Canal du Midi cycle path in just a few pedal strokes, or set off on an adventure towards Lake Saint-Ferréol. For a perfect day out, remember to order your picnic basket the day before!
